Evaluating this website was a very useful activity! It opened my eyes to see how much work truly goes in to creating a website. I learned some of the important things to look out for like reliability of the information and author, accessibility for my students, usefulness of the content, and many other things when using websites in my classroom. It also helped me realize for my own personal websites like blogs and wikis, that it is very important to pay attention to the aesthetics of pages to be sure that all of the text is easily read and the set-up of the page is easily navigated. Small details like this can make a huge difference in the effectiveness of a website!
